Specialising in Architectural Models

History

My large scale model making experiences began in Winter 2002/3 in a draughty room in a village called Capel Bangor just outside Aberystwyth. It didn't all start there though. I have been building models since I was around nine years old! This was started by me making 'Superquick' cardboard kits of architectural subjects and later progressed to building old Airfix model train and aircraft kits.

I began scratchbuilding models when I was around thirteen or fourteen. This, combined with a fascination of architecture and trains, and an interest in drawing developed into a pasion for making just about anything.

I went to art college, then university gaining a BA(Hons) in Visual Art. Since then I have had many jobs, mostly creative work, making things or teaching art to children.

It was after working as a model maker for B.T.A Model Trees that I decided to begin independent model making full time - something of turning a pastime / hobby into a job!

I now work out of a studio in the centre of Aberystwyth, West Wales.

I am willing to undertake any architectural modelling project. The models which I make are professional quality and take many hours. I will consider making a model of whatever you want, I am not confined to architectural or railway models.

As with anything handmade the maker is always learning. I am constantly obtaining new equipment and honing my skills. I welcome any challenge you put towards me.
